Great Expectations
Here are some pictures to give you a flavour of Outline Theatre's recent production of Great Expectations, which was performed last summer, firstly at St Matthew's and then in the open air at Southlands Arts Centre, West Drayton and Black Park, Iver.
Outline Theatre is supported by funding from Hillingdon Community Trust and the Church of England Church & Community Fund.

Talk Time hit the town!
As part of a recent Talk Time session we went out and discovered more about our local area. Thanks to David from the Com Cafe for organising the Town Trail.

Baptism and Confirmation 2012
We had a wonderful celebration of baptism and confirmation at St Matthew's on Sunday 13 May. We were joined by Bishop Pete, the Bishop of Willesden, and the church was packed to overflowing. During the service, seven people were confirmed (of whom one, Tracey Francis, was baptised in a baptism pool) and two others renewed their baptism promises.

During the service, several of the candidates told powerful, moving stories of how Jesus had made a real, practical difference in their lives. You can read some of those stories in our church magazine for June 2012, here.
New Wine Women
14 women from St Matthew's had a great day at the New Wine Women's event at the Emmanuel Centre Westminster on Saturday 10th March last year. Vibrant, uplifting worship, thought provoking speakers and opportunties to be prayed for were enjoyed by all - as well as the chance to spend time with each other and enjoy a walk by the river Thames. We can't wait for the next one!
Talk Time

This exciting new project launched on the 1st November. Members of the community whose first language is not English are invited into the parish centre for help with their speaking and listening. Refreshments are provided and children are welcome. More information can be found on the Talk Time page of the website.
Caroline's Ordination
On July 2nd 2011 Caroline our curate was ordained priest at a wonderful service at Emmanuel Church Northwood. The following day she celebrated communion at St Matthew's for the first time, followed by a barbecue in the vicarage garden.

New Wine 2011
At the end of July a group of us attended the New Wine Christian Conference at Shepton Mallet. We stayed in tents or caravans, spent lots of time together and enjoyed some great teaching and worship at the main venues. Why not join us next year?
