Giving to the Church

We have some exciting plans for the future of the church but for them to become reality we need money.

It is up to each of us who consider St Matthew's to be our spiritual home to prayerfully consider who much we can give to God's work in this place.

Ways of giving

  • Envelope scheme:  You commit to giving a set amount each week in a small envelope in the collection plate.
  • Standing order:  You set this up with your bank so that you give the church a certain amount each month.

You can also put money in the plate at any time but it is much more helpful to us if you can commit to giving on a regular basis so that we know how much money is coming in and can budget accordingly.

Our planned giving officer is Sue Manthorpe who will be pleased to give you more information about joining the planned giving scheme.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer please complete a Gift Aid form.  We can then reclaim £2.80 on every £10 you give, at no cost to you.

Forms are available for all these things at the back of church.  For more information speak to Sheila Congram, our treasurer, or one of the clergy.
