Sunday

Sunday Celebration Communion with All Age Worship first Sunday in the month, 10.30am

Every Sunday at 10.30am for approximately  1 hour & 15 minutes. This is our main Sunday celebration service, held most Sundays. The service is led jointly by a member of the clergy and a lay worship assistant, using Common Worship in an informal way to provide the service structure and liturgy. We sing a mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs.

Children are always welcome at St Matthew's.  Children's Ministry will be running in the hall for children age 5 to 11 except on the first Sunday of the month.  The creche is open to be used by parents supervising their children. 

On the first Sunday of the month we have All Age Worship. 

Traditional Communion, 9am

Every Sunday at 9am in our Lady Chapel. Traditional and reflective in style, this is a service that will appeal to anyone who prefers a quieter form of worship than our main service.

Fellowship Cafe, First Monday in the month
First Monday in the month from 10.30 to 12pm for those over 60 to come together for conversation and company.

Free Advice on housing problems, benefit issues, debt advice & support.
Takes place in the Lady Chapel - entrance from the High Street.
Every Monday (term time only) from 2.00-4.00pm.

The Foodbank runs at the same time as DOORWAY, every Monday 2.00-4.00pm and takes place in the hall.  The entrance is from the High Street.

Theatre group meeting every Tuesday 7.30 -9.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

Little Monsters 

Every Wednesday (term-time only) from 10.00-11.30am. For babies, pre-school children and their carers. With space to play, to meet others, craft activities, snack time and singing time.

Oasis Home Group
Every Wednesday (term time only) at our Curate's home from 7.30-9.00pm. A chance to come together to read and talk about life and the bible.

Community Cafe
Every Thursday (term-time only) from 8.30-10.30am. All are welcome for free coffee/tea and cake and a chance to pause and catch up in the week.

Ignite Youth Group (term time only)
Fortnightly on Fridays from 6.45pm for secondary school age children. Join us for friendship, fun and lots of activities. Held in the centre but there are also external events such as trips to ice skating. For more information about Ignite click here.
