CHURCH UKRAINIAN APPEAL

For those of you who were in church on Sunday 6th March, you would have heard Sylvia Mendoza speaking about supporting Ukrainian refugees in Poland. Sylvia is married to Vicky’s nephew Fernando.  Until recently they lived in West Drayton but have now moved back to Sylvia’s home town Przemysl, in Poland.  This is on the border with Ukraine and they have had many Ukrainian refugees coming  into their town. Sylvia attends the Nazaret Pentecostal Church which has played an important role in supporting the refugees. They have 30 refugees living in the church and a number of their church members have welcomed refugees to stay in their homes. They are very much at the frontline of supporting Ukrainian refugees, providing people with daily meals and other basic needs.

We as a church are taking up a collection to support the work of this church. All donations will be forwarded to the Nazaret Pentecostal Church to help them with the costs of housing, clothing, feeding and generally providing for those in this time of desperate need.  If you wish to give then please use this link - the Parochial Church Council of St Matthew's Church Yiewsley - Donate now.  There will also be envelopes labelled ‘Church Ukrainian appeal’ at the back of church if you would prefer to give cash. Please put your donation in the collection plate at the back of church. Thank you so much for joining with us in supporting our brothers and sisters in Christ in Poland as they seek to     demonstrate the love of Christ to the Ukrainian refugees.

God bless
